NHS Human Services Joins the CommonGround Community
by patricia.deegan on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 - 2:25pm

We are proud to announce that NHS Human Services went live with CommonGround on Monday, February 27. Nancy Parrotta of Community Care Behavioral Health lead the implementation of CommonGround on two NHS community treatment teams (CCT teams) in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. These CTT teams serve 175 hard-to-engage service users following the ACT (assertive community treatment) model. NHS teams will use mobile devices to engage consumers in completing their CommonGround Health Reports from the field. Additonally, the  Staunton Farm Foundation  has funded a team of researchers to study the impact of CommonGround when compared to other CTT teams that do not use it. One goal of the study is to assess the relationships between use of CommonGround and CTT consumer activation levels, CTT consumer-provider communication, and CTT consumer utilization of acute mental health services and community-based, recovery-oriented services.  For more information about the research initiative, contact Jane Kogan PhD, koganjn@ccbh.com.
