Celebrating the Life of Eddie Taylor
by patricia.deegan on Thursday, May 19, 2016 - 2:58pm

We just received the sad news that Eddie Taylor, a peer specialist in Kansas City, KS, has passed.  Eddie was a long-time friend of CommonGround.  He helped pioneer peers supporting peers in the use of CommonGround. Eddie was a patient and compassionate man and a natural at helping peers use computers in the Decision Support Center.  He helped to define what it means when peers help peers prepare to participate in shared decision making with the psychiatrist.  Eddie also had a way of helping the doctors and nurses appreciate the importance of recovery and shared decision making.

We'll miss you Eddie.  Let your spirit ring out through this video you so generously offered to CommonGround users around the country.

Rest in peace Eddie. Thank you for everything you taught me and for just being an incredible human being. You are already greatly missed!

RIP Eddie. I will miss your presence at work. You were a great peer support person and had a way with people needing understanding. You will be missed by many.

Beautiful teaching.
