We want to welcome the newest member of our CommonGround Community. Today Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems in Pennsylvania achieved their GO-LIVE. This means that the peer run decision support center opened its doors and the first clients began using CommonGround to prepare a health report for their medication appointment. CommonGround trainee, Joe Korney from Community Care Behavioral Health, did a great job leading the implementation. Congratulations Beacon Light!
Some folks have commented that our latest blog entries have highlighted a lot of new sites. Indeed, there are now 11 CommonGround sites in Pennsylvania with more to come! We also have live sites in MA, CA, OR and KS. New York State is also using the CommonGround program in 2 sites in NYC as part of its MyPSYCKES intiative.

I had the privilege of being involved in some of the behind the scenes things leading up to Beacon Light going live with Common Ground. I have to say it was an exciting process. I am a member of their Consumer Advisory Board, and helped offer input into the proposal for getting the grant for our Decision Support Center where Common Ground is in use. I haven't had a chance to use it myself yet, but have seen demos of the software during our CAB meetings, and am looking forward to trying it out.
I would like to thank Pat Deegan and Associates, in addition to Community Care for the opportunity to have what I feel is potentially a ground breaking tool to make communicating with my Psychiatrist more productive when I go in for med-checks. I look forward to using Common Ground when I go in for my next med-check.
Hey Jenn - great to hear from you. Thanks for your work in helping to make CommonGround a reality at Beacon Light. From what I hear, you have a dynamic peer-run decision support center. Congrats!
