Hi, my name is John.

My primary role is to lead our software development and operations, as well as to guide our security and privacy initatives.

I vividly recall one CommonGround user who told me that she couldn't answer the questions honestly if the wrong people could see her answers. To me, this meant that she had trust to CommonGround in order to use it. It just wasn't possible otherwise.

This was a great reminder for me that security is not just what we do to protect something, but also what we do to make something possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy getting things done, living simply and eating good vegetarian food. I don't know if it's true that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but feel free to test that theory on me.
